Building Bridges’ Challenge
Our work with Building Bridges, formerly Seeking Common Ground, began at a time of tremendous change for the organization. A new Executive Director had recently succeeded its Founder, and the climate in the Middle East was making their best-known program, which serves Israeli and Palestinian teens, increasingly more difficult to conduct. It was time for the nearly 20 year old organization to evaluate its programs, formalize policies and procedures, and expand organizational capacity.
Our Solution
We supported Building Bridges board, staff and key stakeholders through an ambitious multi-year Design the Future Process which involved organizational development workshops, a stakeholders retreat and executive coaching to the Executive Director and other senior staff.
Outcome / Benefits
In addition to refocused programming, Building Bridges’ Design the Future Process resulted in a revitalized Board, new name and logo, new leadership and governance structures, and new office in Jerusalem.
