Nick at Work:

Nick Bohnenkamp is a deep listener, thoughtful questioner, and pragmatic decision maker. He loves to help organizations of all types – nonprofit, government, for profit – do good while doing good. Nick believes in evidence based decision making, positive feedback loops, and that the foundation of a company’s culture is built through small, quality interactions among employees and between clients they serve.

INDUSTRY PREFERENCES: At Tipton, Nick’s focus is in the operational units of government and transit authorities.

WORK HISTORY: For nearly a decade Nick spent his time designing, implementing, and eventually leading one of the first large scale bike sharing systems in the USA.  The project’s initial directive coming from the Mayor, Nick worked between dynamic teams from public works, parks & recreation, community planning & development, and human services. These experiences have given him tremendous insight and appreciation for all the city agencies required to execute such an undertaking and who oversee our public infrastructure on a daily basis.

EDUCATION: Nick holds a BA in Communications from the University of Northern Iowa.

More About Nick

PERSONAL: Nick is a big reader of non-fiction, and dedicated podcast listener. You will see him commuting on his favorite bike, a 1984 Trek 830 ATB (“all terrain bike” before the term mountain bike was coined) and perhaps in the foothills of Denver sans wheels, finding his stride trail running. He has a wife that raises the bar on what it means to be a good person, and a daughter that loves to yell “GREAT DAY!”

BELIEFS:“We should take what we do seriously, but we shouldn’t take ourselves too seriously!”
